“Hebe, derived from the Greek word hēbē, meaning ‘young maturity’ or ‘bloom of youth,’ was the daughter of Zeus, the chief god, and his wife Hera.

In Homer’s writings, this princess served as a divine domestic, frequently appearing as the cupbearer to the gods. As the goddess of youth, she was generally worshipped alongside her mother, with whom she might have been considered an emanation or a specialized form. She was also associated with the hero-god Heracles, becoming his bride when he was received into heaven. Her primary centers of worship were Phlious and Sicyon, where she was known as Ganymeda and Dia. At times, Hebe was identified with the Roman deity Juventas.”
